llms.txt explained
The llms.txt convention, what to put in it, and how this PunkSolid network site publishes /llms.txt.
llms.txt is a emerging convention: a plain-text file at your site root (often /llms.txt) that lists important URLs and short descriptions so humans and tools can discover what you want emphasized—complementary to robots.txt and sitemap.xml, not a replacement.
Typical contents
- Site name and one-line purpose
- Links to key docs, policies, and product pages
- Brief notes on what each URL contains
There is no single standards body yet; formats vary. Prefer stable URLs and human-readable summaries over keyword stuffing.
How we ship llms.txt on this network
Every PunkSolid child build—including corporateseotraining.com—exposes:
https://<domain>/llms.txt- Generated at build/serve time from reviewed, indexable pages only (draft pages are excluded)
Implementation lives in apps/ai-network (llmsTxtBody in src/seo/llms.ts, route src/pages/llms.txt.ts). Until you mark guides reviewed, the file may list only legal/scaffold pages—expected during draft phase.
When to maintain it
- After publishing or retiring major guides
- When you change canonical URLs or site structure
- As part of SEO training for teams onboarding
